Is this a good idea to put a bridge over a small section of the deck on the first floor with no slope? The bridge a bit?

The problem with this is no roof slope so that water is sitting there. We had a terrace on top of it and fell in 2-3 years. Someone suggested a tile platform (porcelain). But it is a good idea to put the mortar and tile on the roof? Weight can be a problem. Please help with suggestions. The existing roof is in good shape. Trex is another option, but we still have the problem of collecting the water below.
